THANK YOU, THANK YOU, TERIMA KASIH, 我们(SH4)谢谢你! ON ON
Again, with all your support, participation and contribution, we have successfully organised our 1st Ball Breaker Run during our 12th anniversary celebration.
We had closed to 500 registered participants for our Ball Breaker Run and Fun Run. For the first time, we have so many walk-in participants and we had run out of T-shirt for a number of participants. Thanks for their continuous support.
For Ball Breaker run, there were 196 hashers registered. There were 123 Ball Breaker Finishers. 1st Ball Breaker Finisher completed in 4hr 47min. And the last FINISHER returned safely at 8.02pm at the same time Opening Ceremony had just started. There was no major injury but some cut, bruise and scratch observed from the participants. With the "HO LAN XI" blue finishing T wearing on, all pains turn into achievement, success and PROUD!
For Fun Run, there were about 250 runners participated. They had conquered closed to 8km journey and they were safely returned at 6.00pm. Swept by the pair of our Diamond Sweepers, TongZhan and GouPaoChoon, no worry at all.
Once again, thanks for your participation. We hope that you have fun and enjoyed the trails and programs provided. Even if there is any problem, with hash spirit, no running problem, no drinking problem and no causing problem. ON ON

Although it was rain in the afternoon, we had ~80 runners (excluding set run team) participated for this run at Sg. Long. The cars had occupied both sides of the main road of the residence area. Anyway, we had not causing any traffic issue here. This is the basic hash's rule that all hashers must follow.
We had 13 cars joined GM to set run. Quite a big crowd. I think this will be easy to loacte the "on check" as too many of them. It will be a lot of footprints left to trail the check.
4 first timer joined and questioned by JM FitLo. After some short briefing, we ON! ON! sharp at 5pm. As it was just rain, the trail was wet and muddy. Immedite challenge was a VERY DEEP valley to climb down before entering to the jungle. Those usual "U-TURN" team had started worry started negotiate on how to climb back later. But, they did continue the journey as the day was still early.
Happy faces as journey just begins!
There were 5 hills to climb for this run. As usual GM style, most of them were new trails. Some difficult slopes to climb down. As usual, the trail was badly damaged by the front runners. This has caused last runners and sweepers facing trouble to find proper trail to climb up or down. For a new lady runner, we had to rotate to give her a hand to pull her up hill. Red Dragon came with his junior. He patiently guided his son throughout the journey. With his professional skills, I believe his son had learnt a lot from him.
Step by step following queue down!
The great moment was when we had reached the peak of last hill. From this height, we can see the undeveloped jungle inside Sg. Long. We took the opportunity to take group photos.
The last hill was the HIGHEST clim for the day. We had motivated each others, help each others, guide the newer and support the team moving forward. When we were walking along the tar road for the returning to the run site, we were enjoying the
First Challenge!
success that we had achieved especially for our 2 new joiners. They were almost given-up. When they were exhausted, they always like to ask us, "How far to go?". The answer is always "After this hill!"
I was proud with both of them. Although they were very tired and dirty, they had the fighting spirit to face the challenges. Step by step...take a few more rest...then fight again. With this right attitude, they were success in the end.
When we reached the tar road it was already 7.15pm. It seems that we will reach run site at dark. Then not long, we saw 2 vehicles approached. San Sin Cheong and FatLot came in to fetch us as the journey back to run sitte is very far..~3Km walking journey. Thanks to them, we reached run site at 7.30pm and the day just turned dark.
A group of hashers had prepared some "MAKAN MAKAN" for this Mother Day Run. SanKai made a delicious taufu, ChaXiu cooked a pot of "lou Xu Fun" and Hoi Long Wong prepared the rest. A great meal for our Mother Day run.
The run started with reverse direction. Along the trail, it was quite smooth and flat. We made a joke that GM also wanted to celebrate Mother Day. This is not his style of walking horizontally...he like VERTICAL LIMIT.
Anyway, the challenge started after completed half of the journey. GM set the trail to hit the peak before moving toward the runsite. It was as height as 130M. Enough to make some of us "breathless". Surprisingly, Salty Chicken was "stucK" before this peak. Somehow, he managed to recover and overtook us before reaching the peak. We were all returned to runsite safetly before dark.
The dinner started with a few bottles of Henessy, XO, Red Wine and beers. Unfortunately, no soft drink. Some mothers complainted. A container was place on table for "sponsor". This is on "DUTCH" not from SH4 but from all participants. A good practice for this kind of un-official celebration.
FitLo as usual take the "MIDNIGHT GM" role to start a mini-circle. For the start, he invited ALL MOTHERS for a ON DOWN. We wished all of them a "Happy Mother Day, Good health & Always Beatiful." Then, he invited the organiser, ChuCheongFun, for a ON DOWN as he had gathered all of us for this wonderful celebration. then, those who had helped to prepare the foods and drinks were also called for a ON DOWN.
Next, we moved to more serious, sense, personal and touchy moment. FitLo randomly invited some mothers for some personal speech.
- YiSo was very happy to join us as GUEST. She was so happy and delivery a LOVE SONG to us. We found our "ShowGirl" for "SH4 Hawaiian nite"
- Ladypine invited both CCF & YTF to share with us why they were so lovely couple? What are the reasons that they love each other so much. Both of them were interogated by us. In the end, we had the "HUP KAN ZAO" in which drunk the wine together with crossing each other hands.
- SGS gave a very emotional and inspiring speech to ask everyone don't forget their parents. Spend more time with them while they are still around. Don't wait untill it was too late for you to give your love to your parents.
- FitSo reminded everyone to call their mother tonight or give her a hug. She demand everyone to report back to her next week. She had all mother to give a group song, "FRIEND" form Alan Tam.
- LauTan also invited and he shared some "grandmother" stories. Anyway, the key bring away was don't send your parent to old folks house. You are not human if can't take care your own parents. He also strongly support that we have this Mother day or Parent Day yearly.
Before ending, FitLo did another road show for our 9th Anniversary celebration. We had added a few new sponsors for the celebration fund. For guest, we have only less with 10 tables available. This is a good result. Thanks to our Interhash Sec team , Mountain Goat, YaoDYeah & GouQiu.
We all went home happily. After reaching home, I just realised that I had quite a lot of wine & beers. I really enjoy the night and like the atmosphere around, especially the personall sharing moment.
