Again, with all your support, participation and contribution, we have successfully organised our 1st Ball Breaker Run during our 12th anniversary celebration.

We had closed to 500 registered participants for our Ball Breaker Run and Fun Run. For the first time, we have so many walk-in participants and we had run out of T-shirt for a number of participants. Thanks for their continuous support.

For Ball Breaker run, there were 196 hashers registered. There were 123 Ball Breaker Finishers. 1st Ball Breaker Finisher completed in 4hr 47min. And the last FINISHER returned safely at 8.02pm at the same time Opening Ceremony had just started. There was no major injury but some cut, bruise and scratch observed from the participants. With the "HO LAN XI" blue finishing T wearing on, all pains turn into achievement, success and PROUD!

For Fun Run, there were about 250 runners participated. They had conquered closed to 8km journey and they were safely returned at 6.00pm. Swept by the pair of our Diamond Sweepers, TongZhan and GouPaoChoon, no worry at all.

Run #441 - Jalan Kacau (Near Temple)

This should be the 3th time that SH4 run at this run site but it is my FIRST time to this run site. A farming land surrounded by hills in half circle. A temple located at the halfway of the high hill. The view was great and beautiful. A wide parking area where we should consider having our CIRCLE here one day.

The location is quite deep inside from the main road. (follow the Ostrich Farm signboard). About 5 KM distance. This is not easy to reach the run site for first timer. Many junctions along the road with very less signboards. Some hashers were late as very difficult to find the run site. One even told me that he had almost given-up as he had mad ea few wrong turns and almost lost. But, with the high hashing spirit, nothing is impossible.

We entered via left handside of the temple. Quite a steep slope on the 1st hill. Then we reached a place for the 4WD jeeps challenge. Very interesting to see how they drove their 4WD in such a badly damaged road/ mud here. We walked along the 4WD road. The most dangerous and exiting part was to cross a small river via a fallen log. Surprisingly, noone had dropped into the river. ON ON!

The journey seems very long to me. I had lost count on number of hills conquered. I ony recalled that we had crossed many streams/ rivers. As warned by them earlier that this is "LEECH Heaven" place, I had to run with extra-careful when crosing the streams. Luckily, no blood donation this time. As raining earlier and the trail is NEW and VIRGIN, it was quite slipperly. I fell a few times and made some cuts. As of the tireness and concentration on finding safe steps for moving forward, I had no feeling on all these pains.

The day seems turned into DARK very quick. We had to use our headlight quite early. As a few new hashers had no light, we shared the light for our journey. It had slowed us down. Besides,  this is my 1st time here, I had no idea where am I and not even able to sense we were getting far or closer to our run site. In the dark, I couldn't recognised our spot from the light or hill shape from far away. We continued our journey without any words. Full of concenration on the challenges like walking along the side of deep slope or moving down a steep slope with unknown depth. I had to slide down at certain spots as the trail had badly damaged by front runners. Not their fault as this is new trail.

We reached runsite at 8:10pm. Another >3 hours run with whole body covered by dirt and mud, from head to foot. No wonder less and lesser hashers want to be SWEEPER. This role is getting tougher and challenging. GM! please do consider for sweeper. Set a better trail especially at the end of the run. It is very dangerous and difficult when we had to climb down a steep slope in DARK.

Btw, it was a great trail. Take the run site as Center point, we had run along 270degree in CIRCLE. Just like if our entry point is WEST, our last spot out of jungle is at SOUTHEAST. Indeed, we had travelling very very long distance by viewing the top hills in front of you at run site.

It was great when reached the runsite with 100-plus and watermalon served by our friends. Great SH4 hashing spirit and friendship. When the cold fluid flowed into my mouth, all frustration and unhappiness had just gone and digested in my stomach.

Another great hours spent in SH4 hashing! ON ON!
